Our speakers tonight embody the values that have sustained success across generations: disciplined thinking, sound judgement and an unwavering commitment to clients. Their insight offers us an opportunity to reflect on a century of progress while looking ahead with ambition, responsibility and confidence for the next hundred years.

Claire Byrne
Master of Ceremonies
Claire is the presenter of The Claire Byrne Show on Newstalk, Ireland's commercial talk radio station.
She worked for 15 years at Ireland's public service broadcaster, RTE, where she presented on both radio and television, covering national and international news.
Prior to that, she worked at TV3 in Ireland, Channel 5 and ITN in London and with the BBC in the Channel Islands.

Gavin Kelly
CEO, Davy & Wealth
Gavin was appointed as CEO, Davy & Wealth and Executive Director of the Davy Board in November 2024. He is also the head of the Wealth and Insurance division of Bank of Ireland Group. Prior to assuming the CEO role, Gavin was Chief Executive of Corporate and Commercial Banking in Bank of Ireland. He also previously served as the Interim Group Chief Executive of the Bank of Ireland Group as well as the Chief Executive of Retail Ireland. He holds a Commerce Degree and an MBS from University College Dublin, is a Certified Bank Director and former President of both the Institute of Banking and Banking & Payments Federation Ireland.

Micheál Martin
An Taoiseach
Micheál Martin served as Tánaiste, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Defence from December 2022 to January 2025, having previously served as Taoiseach from June 2020 to December 2022. Over a long political career, he has also held a number of senior cabinet positions, including Minister for Foreign Affairs, Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Health, and Education, and served as Lord Mayor of Cork in 1992-93. Born in Turners Cross, Cork, he attended University College Cork, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Tony Smurfit
President, Group CEO & Director, Smurfit Westrock
Anthony is President, Group CEO and Director of Smurfit Westrock. He served as a Director of Smurfit Kappa Group since 1989 and was appointed Group Chief Executive Officer in September 2015.
Prior to this, he served as Group Chief Operations Officer of SKG from November 2002. He was Chief Executive of Smurfit Europe from October 1999 to 2002, prior to which he was Deputy Chief Executive of Smurfit Europe and previously Chief Executive Officer of Smurfit France. Anthony is also a member of the European Round Table of Industrials.

Joseph Davy
Joseph Davy is the son of our co-founder Eugene Davy, and has dedicated more than 60 years to the firm and played a pivotal role in the growth and development of Davy’s wealth management and institutional businesses. His leadership, client focus and commitment to building long-term relationships helped shape the firm’s success across generations.

Brian Davy
Brian Davy is the son of our co-founder James Davy, and had a career in Davy spanning more than 50 years and played a key role in the growth and development of the firm's capital markets and institutional business. As senior partner and later chairman, Brian helped transform Davy from a small stockbroking firm into Ireland's leading investment and capital markets business, building relationships with Irish corporates, institutional investors and international markets.

Myles O'Grady
Group CEO, Bank of Ireland Group
Myles took up the position of Chief Executive of the Bank of Ireland Group on 17 November 2022, having previously served as Group Chief Financial Officer from January 2020 until March 2022.
In a career of more than 30 years, Myles has worked nationally and internationally including in senior roles across retail, business and investment banking. Prior to joining Bank of Ireland, Myles was Director of Finance & Investor Relations in AIB Group and he has held senior positions in international financial services organisations including Citibank and Dresdner Kleinwort Benson. Until October 2022, Myles served as Chief Financial Officer of the Musgrave Group.
